![]() It was not crowded, so it was not like the waitresses were taxed in any way. The main dishes were just ok, and service was less than friendly. It was supposed to be for 6 people and could have possibly served 4, very disappointing. It was the most uninspired plate of some romaine leaves with 4 or 5 pieces of sopresata, a couple of peppers, olives and some hothouse tomatoes. We asked for a hot antipasto for the table and were told there was none, although we could order a cold one. The menu was basic but who cares if the food delivers. We met two other couples we hadn't seen in a while and looked forward to a delicious meal. neighborhood over time, we decided to try Tra Di Noi having heard good things about it. as there are much better restaurants for the money and the y "Zerottonove 089" on Arthur Ave., now.that's a restaurant!! This was our experience, as I see that most have nice things to say, sometimes.stuff just happens to you that doesn't happen to others, and reviews are subject to personal opinion.Having enjoyed several other restaurants in the Arthur Ave. The owner was too busy talking to a couple at a table and not once bothered to offer to buy us a drink, coffee or reduce the is not what I wanted, but it would have been the right thing to do! Go to Arthur Ave. Service and experience was zero, I gave it 3 stars because the food was not bad, but to compare it self to Roberto's is a very far reach! Even if the food was the best I ever had, we would never go back. ![]() The food was average and no great shakes, perhaps the whole experience made the taste disappear. This was a restauranteur that was only interested in our money. Had she said, "Get your order in and eat by 9:00pm and we'll serve you", we would have thanked them and walked away. ![]() To which she came over and tried to explain that we had misunderstood her, but we had understood correctly. to the end of the story. The owner never once came to check on us as we sat at 8:45pm, and by 9:05 were done to the tune of $81.00! (Including two glasses of wine) When the waitress came over to order coffee, I was livid and let her know what a lousy restaurant experience this was. (Normally, I never order any type of parmiggiana!) Both courses came out a minute from each other, as we were hardly finished with the appetizers, she came and placed the hot dish on the table, to which I told her, "You need to take it easy, I didn't come here for a marathon!" P.S. We ordered a clams oreganate on the half shell and an octopus salad for starters, a caesar salad and a veal parmiggiana, which is one of their signature dishes. Nonetheless, she tried in vain to hide her displeasure as she quickly came over to take our order, and rush through what ever specials were available. We were ushered to a table, and no sooner did we sit that the waitress seemed annoyed with the owner that she had taken on two late patrons. We were tired and were there just to eat on a friend's recommendation, so we figured that we could most certainly make a choice in 15 minutes. The owner, immediately approached us at the door and told us, "The kitchen will be closing at 9:00 and if you can get your order in by then we will serve you". When you begin to believe that you are so great that it doesn't count for every single patron that walks in.you sink! We walked in on a Friday evening at 8:45pm, not late for a restaurant in that area, when Roberto's kitchen and some of the other restaurants (Which some mistakenly compare it to) stay open way close to and past 10:00PM. ![]() Perhaps well known for it's food, but a restaurant can also become a trap to its own great reputation. ![]()
